A LIVE music double bill in Largs this weekend is set to include a tribute to the legendary Pogues frontman Shane MacGowan.
Sharps Bar will host Filthy White Suit on Saturday, December 16 with their 'Filthy White Christmas Show'.
MacGowan died at his home in Dublin on November 30, aged 65.
The Suits' lead singer Allan Penders said: "We have added a whole bunch of new covers to our set and hopefully we can encourage a brave lady from the audience to sing with the band as we raise a glass to Shane MacGowan, before doing our best to perform the best Christmas song there has ever been.
"We usually introduce original bands at our double bills, but this time we will have our new friends the mighty Straw Dogs - Scotland's finest Stiff Little Fingers tribute band.
"I saw them in the summer at a punk rock charity event and their set was amazing.
"We can’t wait to introduce them to the Sharps crowd and know they will go down a treat!"
The gig starts at 8pm and entry is free.
The Pogues' 1987 Christmas song, Fairytale of New York, featuring Kirsty MacColl, is odds-on to be this year's Christmas number one.
