The owner of a new business in Largs town centre says they have battled flooding to keep the doors open to customers during the busiest time of the year.
The Ivory Mac premises on Main Street, which sells hand-poured home fragrance, suffered flooding in the 'manufacturing area'.
In a message to customers today, owner Elaine McPake updated customers via the family business's Facebook page.
She stated: "I am happy to say we will be able to open today as usual.
"Bare with us as our manufacturing area has been flooded."
Customers have been sympathetic to the situation, with some saying they are sorry to hear the news. They also praised the business for managing to stay open during difficult circumstances.
Elaine responded: "Thankfully, just having to shift things around. Not what I needed at this time of year."
Ivory Mac moved from Brisbane Road to the former Robert F Duff solicitors building which in turn moved across the road to the former Clydesdale Bank premises.
When the shop opened local businesspeople including Richard Craigmile, who owns The Candy Box and The Continental, called it 'great news for the high street'.
He said: "It is something new and different - I am delighted to see a family business like Ivory Mac open and I hope that independents continue to be well supported in the town.
"It is just the kind of thing that the Largs needs."
