The final meeting of Largs and District Stamp Club for the year was on a Christmas theme with a good range of members showcasing displays - including rarities from the Great War of 1914-18.
It included a wide range of GB material from in-depth studies of a single year, silk cards and more general displays.
Silk Christmas cards from the First World War were very attractive as well as Swiss Projuventute christmas cards and greetings cards.
Two members contributed stamps from Christmas Island plus Christmas issues, and there was also a comprehensive show of South African Christmas seals from 1963 to 1979, in singles, booklets and sheets.
The club now look forward to opening the New Year with a postcard night on Wednesday, January 10.
