The Cumbrae ferry is to return to service later today after disruption due to weather and technical issues.
Weather disruption had seen the CalMac service cancelled early this morning.
It had been due to resume at 9.15am - but then a technical issue was discovered that meant the service had to be suspended.
The problem was traced to a shore power issue which meant the ship was unable to leave Largs, and saw electricians called to carry out repairs.
However, with Storm Gerrit still lashing many areas of the country, people are being advised that despite the technical problem being solved, services may still be disrupted.
