The Largs-Fairlie line is set to re-open after Network Rail conduced a full inspection of the line this morning.
The area, particularly at the Fairlie tunnelhead near the A78, experienced flooding yesterday, resulting in services being cancelled in the afternoon for the rest of the day.
Dramatic photos showed the extent of the flooding on the line.
