Cold temperatures over the weekend resulted in several events and sporting activities being cancelled in the area.
Hazardous weather conditions were reported in West Kilbride and along the A78, between Largs and Ardrossan, yesterday due to freezing fog.
Jack Frost paid a visit to a Largs greenhouse, leading to the spectacular photo above from Camera Club member Ian Dalgleish.
Largs Thistle's match against Gartcairn at Barrfields Park was a late casualty of the cold weather, with the match called off half an hour before kick-off on Saturday.
Photos from the club show that the stand side, which suffered from a lack of sunshine due to the cover, was frozen over and the referee deemed it unplayable.
However, the Largs Thistle amateurs game at Inverclyde Sports Centre did manage to beat the big freeze.
The grass football pitch in Kirktonhall Glen, in West Kilbride, was also covered in a layer of frost on Sunday, although some tennis did go ahead in the park.
The Largs hills had a very cold feel as temperatures rose just above zero, with this frosty image taken by Valerie Lundie.
And the entrance to Dawn Homes housing development in Fairlie was frosted over, as captured by Carol McDonald.
Ponds in the area also froze over including Aubery, in Largs, and the Seamill pond in West Kilbride.
The temperature is to stay around 4-5 degrees Celsius over the coming days before rising to 8C by the weekend, according to the BBC weather forecast.
