A Burns Supper due to be hosted by a women's group in Largs has been cancelled.
We previously reported that the Largs SWI group would be hosting a Burns Supper, which was to consist of a three-course meal, live music and a piper at JG Sharps.
The News has received confirmation that the event has been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.
However, the women's group did not miss out on celebrating all things Scottish at their first meeting of 2024 on Thursday night.
They were piped in by a member of the Boys Brigade before the Address to the Haggis.
The event continued with entertainment provided by Jimmy Law and Ray Connell, of the Largs Cronies.
The evening included a potluck supper, where tea and coffee was served from the kitchen by a team of enthusiastic helpers.
A fun Scottish quiz rounded the night off.
A spokesperson from the group said: "Thank you to Largs Cronies for the fabulous recitations, Louis from the BB for the tremendous piping, John McFarlane for the quiz and our helpers on the night for a wonderful evening of fun and laughter."
