A COMMUNITY council in West Kilbride has received funding from the council to purchase a laptop computer.
We previously told that West Kilbride Community Council had applied for funding from the latest round of North Ayrshire Council's 'participatory budgeting' scheme.
The group received the full £950 they'd applied for to buy the machine, which will be used to ensure face-to-face meetings can be accessed by the community and local councillors.

The good news was celebrated at the latest meeting of the community council last week where a meeting will be organised to decide which device to purchase.
Two other groups in the village applied for the funding including the WK Yuletide Group for the replacement of the electrical system for the Christmas lights and Coffee Candenzas to hist an eight-week coffee concert series in the Barony Centre.
