Cumbrae Garden Club will celebrate the poetry of Robert Burns at a special event later this week.
A Taste of Burns will honour the Ayrshire bard by providing haggis, neeps and tatties, an address to the haggis, songs and much more.
The event will take place in the lounge of the Newton Bar on Thursday, January 18, starting at 7.30pm.
Entry costs £8 and non-members of Cumbrae Garden Club can join on the night for a £10 annual membership fee.
The group was established on the island back in 1950 and holds meetings every third Thursday of the month from October to May.
