Eight community groups benefitted from a village lottery in West Kilbride last year.
The West Kilbride Lottery was set up in 2023 as a way of raising funds for local community groups, with £4,000 dished out since the summer.
The initiative aims to issue monthly cash prizes to lucky winners and at the same time raise funds for local volunteer community groups and initiatives in West Kilbride, Seamill and Portencross.
Every month, one winner secures the top prize of £200, with additional prizes of £50 and £25 also up for grabs. Residents enjoy significantly higher odds of winning compared to the national equivalent.

Last year, the lottery raised enough funds through supporters to distribute eight funding pots of £500 and hope to increase the number this year.
During the summer, three funding allocations supported key initiatives.
The WK Allotment Association received funding for the installation of a drainage system at their allotments, WK Primary School Parent Council Uniform Shop secured funds for restocking various clothing items, and Woodland Wake-Up obtain funds to expand their outdoor activity sessions for children in the village.
In December, a further five funding pots were provided.
WK Village Band were given funds to purchase various sheet music for all band members, while Clyde Coast Multiple Sclerosis Hyperbaric Treatment received a donation to pay for a full electrical test at their specialist centre in the village.
The WK Environmental Group received money to pay for plants and shrubs for various public garden areas in the village, while the WK Toddler Group used their funding to purchase much-need replacement equipment for the group.
The last funding pot went to the WK Horticultural Society to purchase daffodil bulbs for all children at the primary school.
