The history of the voluntary heroes of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution will be the main topic of the next monthly meeting of Opportunities In Retirement (OIR).
The event will take place at Clark Memorial Chruch Hall, in Largs, on Wednesday, February 7, from 2pm to 4pm.
Morag Fisken, of the Largs OIR, said: "We will have the pleasure of Ronald Copeland as our guest speaker.
"This year is the 60th anniversary of Largs Lifeboats and we are looking forward to what promises to be an extremely interesting talk about its history in the town."
All members and friends are invited to the afternoon's talk, which will be followed by refreshments.
