It has been a case of mixed fortunes for Largs Academy in their sporting endeavours over recent days.
Second year pupils were celebrating after beating not just Greenwood Academy in a North Ayrshire derby, but also the fresh and breezy weather conditions.
Largs managed to triumph 1-0 over Greenwood at Inverclyde Sports Centre astroturf pitch in the Ayrshire League Cup.
Jamie Jack clinched the solitary goal and Fraser Creighton was awarded player of the match.
Meanwhile, children from the Largs PE Department were represented at St Matthew's Academy, in Saltcoats, during a netball tournament.
Fourth year pupils were fighting to the final whistle as they lost out 11-9, while the third years showed their dominance in a 13-4 victory.
Second year pupils gave a valiant effort but ultimately lost with a score of 14-7.
Overall, Largs Academy put in a top effort in what was described as an "excellent night of netball."
