The Cumbrae Community Development Company (CCDC) is advertising for a tender for the public toilet cleaning contract over a 24 month period, starting in April.
In 2017 North Ayrshire Council announced it intended to close the public toilet facilities on the Isle of Cumbrae due to lack of funds.
Cumbrae relies heavily on tourism - including daily visitors, walkers, cyclists and holiday makers - and on behalf of the residents and local business CCDC took over the ownership and responsibility of the operating of these facilities.
The successful tender will provide the necessary high standard of cleaning required.
In addition, they will be able to maintain the cleaning schedule necessary for these facilities which are available seven days a week and conduct the essential cleaning and checking of sites throughout the day, as well as deal with the opening and closing of the facilities.
The closing date for this submission is Monday, March 4.
Submissions should be made, in writing, to Jan Wilkie either via e-mail to: jan.wilkie@garrisonhousecumbrae.org.uk or by post to Jan Wilkie, Business Manager, Garrison House, Millport, Isle of Cumbrae, KA28 OAZ.
