St Mary's Primary pupils in Largs showed they were brilliant at Burns as they paid tribute to the Ayrshire Bard with some impressive recitals.

And Largs Cronies were the judges for the big day and were suitably pleased with the high calibre of the pupils offerings.

A school spokesperson said: "Thank you to our Largs Cronies who visited St. Mary’s today to judge our children’s performances of traditional Burns and Scots verse.

"They were so impressed with the high standard of all recitals!"

The Largs Cronies were formed in the town 34 years ago and recently hosted their own Burns Supper celebrations.

They greatly enjoyed their visit to the Largs Campus to see the youngsters show off their skills.
