A Largs man has pleaded guilty to being in possession of a knife in the town.
Thomas Moodie, 29, of Gateside Street, was placed on a 'structured deferred sentence' when he appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court this week.
He was charged with having a blade in the town's Rae Court on November 17 last year "without reasonable excuse or lawful authority".
The structured deferred sentence will run until May 13, and Moodie's bail was continued.
Structured deferred sentences require offenders to engage with "inverventions that address the causes of their behaviour", with the level of engagement informing the court's decision on the eventual sentence.
