A person has been taken to hospital after an incident in the sea near Largs yesterday afternoon.
There was a full emergency response yesterday afternoon after reports of a person in the water.
Coastguard, Largs RNLI and Police Scotland were all called out to the scene in the bay on the south side of the town.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4.15pm on Wednesday, February 7, we were made aware of concern for a person in water in the Irvine Road area of Largs.
“The man was taken to hospital as a precaution.”
