PUPILS from a primary school in Largs have teamed up with the BBC to shoot a promotional video for their home town.
'Doon the Watter' features pupils from St Mary's Primary talking about the town's popularity as a holiday destination, both now and in the past.
As well as explaining where the phrase 'doon the watter' came from, the video features the Viking Festival, Nardini's and Largs Yacht Haven, and includes breathtaking views from the seafront and the Cauld Rocks.
The finished film was released on Thursday and has sparked plenty of positive reaction since then.
After it was shared on social media, one person asked: "Who needs a tourist board when these kids have done a great job promoting Largs?"
Other reactions included descriptions of the video as a "first class presentation" and "very professional indeed".
A spokesperson for St Mary's Primary said: "Yesterday afternoon was a very special one for our class of 2024 as we invited our families into our classroom for the premiere of the short film, ‘Doon the Watter,’ that we made with the BBC’s Learning L.A.B team a fortnight ago.
"The children had fun planning this little event and shared their experience confidently and enthusiastically. We hope that you all enjoyed the film, which can be watched again anytime."
