A power cut which has affected up to 30 properties in Millport is expected to last for up to eight hours.
The fault on the local overhead network was reported just before 8am on Wednesday, February 21.
A total of 14 properties in Golf Road were affected - but power distribution company SSEN Distribution says it's had to turn off the supply to another 15 homes for safety reasons.
A spokesperson said: "Our engineers are currently on site carrying out repairs; for everyone’s safety, it has been necessary to temporarily turn off the power at 15 additional nearby properties during part of the work.
"We anticipate our repairs will be complete and all supplies restored by 4pm this afternoon.
“We’d like to thank our customers in the Golf Road area for their patience as our engineers work hard to restore their supplies as safely and as quickly as possible.”
