A second man has been arrested in connection with the death of Alan Lawson.
Mr Lawson, 36, from Saltcoats, is believed to have been brutally assaulted at a property in Alexander Avenue, Largs, on Saturday, February 3.
He was then left for dead at his home in New England Road, Saltcoats, the following day, and died from his injuries in hospital two days later.
The 27-year-old man is due to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Wednesday, February 28.
We previously reported last week that a 29-year-old man had been arrested in connection with Mr Lawson's death.
