Future brides and grooms can get excited as a new wedding venue in West Kilbride is set to open for bookings soon.
We previously reported that plans to transform a West Kilbride farm into a luxury wedding venue and micro-brewery had been given the green light by council planners.
Blackshaw Farm operated as a visitor attraction for decades and welcomed around 40,000 visitors every year until it closed in 2000.
The site was purchased in early 2021 by Carol and Craig Tarft, and the couple aim to recreate the glory days of the farm by transforming the site into a popular Ayrshire wedding venue.
The wedding venue plans were unveiled in March 2022 and secured planning permission from North Ayrshire Council in June of that year.
The farm currently has a large farmhouse, one large open barn, several smaller barns and a large car park.

It is expected that two of the barns will be used for wedding ceremonies and receptions, with space for 100 seated guests and a maximum evening capacity of 180.
The plans also include a licensed horseshoe bar will provide a focal point for the venue and a large window behind the ceremony space will provide views over the Ayrshire countryside towards Arran.
An outdoor seating area for wedding guests to use during the functions, which will include an outdoor fire pit.
In an announcement on social media, they confirmed that they hope to open their booking diary this spring for happy couples looking to tie the knot in 2025-26.
In a statement, they said: "Blackshaw Barns is an exclusive-use wedding venue in West Kilbride, in the heart of North Ayrshire (only a 35 minute drive from Glasgow).
"Nestled in serene countryside, it offers an enchanting rural escape for your special day.
"With sweeping vistas of the coastline, Arran, and the Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park hills, it promises a picturesque backdrop for your celebration.
"While our barns undergo renovation, we eagerly anticipate opening our booking diaries this spring for 25/26!"
