Largs Horticultural Society will start the season off with a workshop on how to grow your own vegetables and flowers - and are offering free starter packs and seeds for green-fingered enthusiasts.
You will have the opportunity to find out more about growing from seed, bulbs, tubers and everything that goes with it, including growing mediums, pots, feed and growing positions.
The demonstration will be followed by a question and answer session, refreshments and a raffle.
The event will be held in Dunn Memorial Hall, St John’s Church, Largs on Wednesday March 20 at 7pm.
There will be a selection of free flower, vegetable and herb seeds that people can take away with them.
Free starter bags will also be available for new gardeners who want to give growing from seed a go.
The bags contain a selection of salad crops and veg (potatoes, onions, carrots and beans) which easy to grow and can be container grown if you don’t have a garden.
The event is free and open to all.
Show schedules and membership renewals will be available at the event for Largs Flower Show which is being held in Dunn Memorial Hall on August 24.
