Plans have been lodged to build a two-storey home on the prominent Marine Parade in Millport.
The site at 43 Marine Parade currently lies vacant following the demolition of a bungalow there several years ago.
Outline planning consent was previously granted for a residential development on the site, with full plans now submitted to North Ayrshire Council.
The proposed home would be two storeys in height, with a room in the roof, and has been designed to reflect traditional properties in the area.
The property will also include a two car garage and car port to allow covered access to the house.
Planning documents state: "It is hoped that the proposed house will be a fitting infill to this plot and be complimentary to the adjacent and wider house styles on Marine Parade and the greater Millport community."
Agents the Robertson Design Practice of George Street, Millport are acting on behalf of applicant Ian Smith.
The full application can be viewed on North Ayrshire Council's planning portal.
