MEMBERS of a walking football group based in Largs are showing their backing for Scotland's largest health charity.
The Largs Walking Football Club, based at Inverclyde Sports Centre, have associated themselves with Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland.
The club's players were presented with special bibs bearing the charity's logo during a recent Walking Football Scotland event at the Toryglen Regional Football Centre near Hampden Park.
The local players will also be collaborating with Parkinson's UK in Scotland to raise awareness of Parkinson's disease, as one of the Largs group's members has the illness but remains a regular participant.
The Largs group meets at Inverclyde Sports Centre every Monday and Wednesday from 12-1pm. Now in its sixth year at the centre, the club has players from their mid-50s to their 80s.
