COMMUNITY groups across North Ayrshire are being invited to an event this week giving them a chance to connect with national and local funding organisations.
The annual event, organised by local MP Patricia Gibson and MSP Kenneth Gibson, will be held at Saltcoats Town Hall on Friday, March 22.
The objective is to facilitate discussions on funding application processes, allow organisations to apply for funding, foster the exchange of ideas, and provide opportunities for networking.
The event is usually attended by 120-130 community organisations and 16-20 funders, who actively engage with local organisations.
This enables community groups to discuss various funding opportunities, what they might be eligible for and how to apply, while establishing valuable connections with potential funders to help the growth and sustainability of local initiatives.
Ms Gibson said: “The funding fayre helps community organisations seek financial assistance, share experiences, best practice, and innovative ideas.
“By bringing together a diverse range of participants, including both funding organisations and community groups, we aim to bring more funding into our local communities.”
Mr Gibson added: “In previous years, many organisations advised that they had conversations with funders that at the funding fayre which directly resulted in securing grants.
“Please come along if you represent a community organisation, charity or club seeking funding.”
Friday's event takes place between 10am and 12.30pm.
