Well known Burns speaker Angus Middleton proved he was on top of his game and a mastermind on the Ayrshire Bard at an annual quiz hosted by the Ayrshire Association of Burns Clubs.
Angus represented Largs Cronies Burns Club in the event hosted by the Skelmorlie-based Poosie Nancie’s Burns Club earlier this month.
The questions were set by last year’s winning team of Jimmy Law and Lesley Richardson.
Angus competed against representatives from other Burns Clubs throughout Ayrshire. Dalry Burns Club were runners up with New Cumnock Burns Club in third place.
This is only the second time that the Cronies have won the trophy, with their last win coming in 2020.
