Police have issued advice as landline phones are down in Millport including emergency 999 calls.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said; "BT has advised us of problems affected telephone service in the Millport area.
"They are working to resolve the issue. "The outage only affects landlines and includes the 999 service. If you require emergency services, please use a mobile phone."
No reason has been given for the cause of the outage.
