Largs Players will represent Scotland at the British one act play finals this summer after becoming national champions.
The Largs Players won through to the Scottish final of the Scottish Community Drama Association's one act play festival after winning the Western divisional final in Castle Douglas with their performance of 'It's Behind You'.
They also won the prize for the Scottish Life and Character performance.
And they're now on their way to the UK stage after triumphing in the Scottish final in Greenock.
The cast, including Danny Lindsay and Matt Wilkin, director Maggie Cunningham, crew and club were thrilled to win he Scottish Final of the SCDA One Act Play Festival and can now look forward to the 'tremendous honour' of representing our country at the British finals.
A Largs Players spokesperson said: "It was inspiring to be back once again on the Festival circuit and to learn from, and be entertained by, all the incredible amateur casts and crews from across Scotland at the District, Divisional and Scottish Final and we are humbled that we have won when we were participating with so many talented and passionate clubs.
"Thank you all for making us so welcome after a little hiatus from competing. It was a pleasure to share the stages of Greenock and Castle Douglas with you all.
"Danny, Matt, Maggie and crew you have done our club and our town proud - thank you for everything everyone has done to support this journey.
"Of course we couldn’t have performed without such incredible material by the amazing Alan McHugh. Thank you for allowing us to perform your play."
Largs Players will now represent Scotland at the British finals in Perth on July 12 and 13.
