The Hebridean Whale and Dolphin Trust is hosting drop-in events to teach people more about the fascinating marine creatures across the Clyde.
The trust's Education and Sightings Officer is visiting Largs today and Inverkip tomorrow to run a series of Whale Track watch events.
And what better timing with local reports of a humpback whale in the area.
The public can join in to find out what whales and dolphins can be spotted in the Clyde and get involved in helping the trust deepen understanding about these animals by conducting a ‘watch from land’ using Whale Track.
There is a whale tour taking place at Magnus the Viking statue from 5.30-6.30pm on Tuesday May 7, with another event and at Inverkip War Memorial on Wednesday, May 8 from 5-6pm.
A HWDT spokesperson said: "Throughout the week, our sightings officer, Sadie, is inviting the local community to join her at our free, drop in watch events across the Clyde.
"Join us to find out what whales and dolphins can be spotted in the Clyde and get involved in helping us deepen our understanding about these animals by conducting a ‘watch from land’ using Whale Track.
"We will have a limited supply of binoculars for use during the events."
It is a drop-in event, with no booking required.
