PIPE excavation work is set to lead to the five-day closure of part of the main road around Cumbrae.
The neighbourhood services team at North Ayrshire Council will be undertaking essential drainage and repairs from 9am on Monday, May 20 until 3.30pm on Friday, May 24.
Drainage and carriageway patching work is to be carried out on the B896 at Ballochmartin Bay.
The council has confirmed that there will be no access during the closure period due to a pipe excavation across the full road width.
All traffic will be diverted on to the B899 Ferry Road between the ferry slipway and Millport.
