The Viking Visitor Experience in Largs received high praise from Visit Scotland following a secret visit to the attraction.
Vikingar! is an exciting, interactive, hands on Viking and Scottish heritage and cultural centre, with real Viking storytellers, who invite you into their replica 8th century Norwegian Longhouse.
A message from KA Leisure stated: "Congratulations to the team at Vikingar who, following an incognito visit from VisitScotland, were able to retain and even strengthen their four star award for quality assurance.
"What a great achievement!"
The Vikingar! experience at KA Leisure's facilities recent benefitted from a winter refurbishment which included various audio visual enhancements before re-opening in April of this year.
The hour-long tour and a Viking tour guide ventures inside the exhibition to whisk visitors back 1,000 years ago to Norway, into a replica longhouse, with a special message from Odin the Viking warrior at the end.
Accessible and offering fun and intrigue for all ages, visitors to the main exhibition will experience what it would have been like to live a day in the life of a Viking.
There is also the opportunity to try on replica helmets and under supervision, hold swords and axes.
The Viking Experience is popular with school visits from all over Scotland, including a recent trip from St Mary's Primary in Largs.
