The new Largs Comedy Club at The George in Largs got off to a laugh-out-loud start with a variety of comedians and some top quality humour to leave the crowd in stitches.
Former West Sound and Q96 radio presenter Steve Goldie, compere for the evening, told teh News it was a great success, with the appeal for any locals to step up to the plate also sourcing some Largs talent.
A five minute slot had been set aside for any aspiring comedians to try their hand in front of the audience.
Steve said: "It was very busy. Our local open five minute spot was filled by Bernie Rowan Casey and ther unique uplifting chuckles came from Brian Mooney, John Purves, Mhairi Jane Kinnaird Colette Boyd, Glorious Gaynor, Sean Reid, Jaki Logan and Rose Wilde.
The next event is on Friday, June 21 at 7.30pm.
The new series will see Steve take to the stage with top performers from the Glasgow International Comedy Festival and the Edinburgh Fringe.
