LATE night ferry sailings are to run between Largs and Cumbrae - but only for commercial vehicles.
Caledonian MacBrayne has announced the services will run between 9pm and midnight, Monday to Thursday, from June 3 until June 14.
The sailings will be for the transportation of pre-arranged commercial vehicles.
A CalMac spokesperson said; "These sailings are not available for any other vehicles or passengers and anyone attempting to travel without pre-authorisation will be refused."
Various equipment and machinery has already been taken across for the Millport flood prevention works.
The number of heavy commercial vehicles using the route to deliver materials for the project has been blamed for the ramp problems which forced the usual ferry on the route, MV Loch Shira, out of service in early April.
The vessel is now in dry dock for the installation of new parts but is not expected in service until mid-June.
