Early risers in Largs were treated to the rare sight of two cruise liners on the bay within the period of an hour.
Between 5.45am and 6.45am, it was possible to witness the Regal Princess and the Spirit of Discovery on the Firth of Clyde at the same time from Largs bay.
The Regal Princess was making her way to the Ocean Terminal in Greenock, and The Spirit of Discovery could be seen on her voyage to Holy Loch.
The Regal Princess measures 142,714 gross tonnage, has a length of 330 metres, and boasts 1,780 passenger cabins and 751 crew cabins. Notable features aboard the ship include a multi-level atrium, a theatre, various dining rooms and restaurants, and pools.
A unique feature is the SeaWalk - passengers have the opportunity to stroll on the SeaWalk, a glass-floor walkway extending 28 feet beyond the edge of the ship.
The Spirit of Discovery also houses several specialty restaurants, a theatre, and fitness and wellness facilities, and houses 999 passengers.
Described as a boutique ship, and measuring 236m in length, the vessel has a crew of 540, and also offers 100 passenger cabins designed for solo travellers.
