St Mary's Primary pupils enjoyed a marvellous trip to Belfast and visited the Titanic Experience.

The pupils were able to enjoy the special trip thanks to help from St Mary's Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church, and the Parent Council, and it certainly proved an eye-opener for the youngsters as they got to learn about the city's past links with the infamous ocean liner.

Located beside the Titanic Slipways, the Harland & Wolff Drawing Offices and Hamilton Graving Dock is the very place where Titanic was designed, built and launched,

Titanic Belfast tells the story of Titanic from her conception, through her construction and launch, to her maiden voyage and subsequent place in history.

The school put a message on its 'X' social media forum which stated: "Well it’s safe to say that the  class had an absolute blast in Belfast, with many happy memories made and knowledge of RMS Titanic gained.

"A massive thank you to the school, the Parent Council and the Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church for supporting our phenomenal trip."
