A WREATH will be laid at the war memorial in West Kilbride today (Thursday) to mark the 80th annviersary of D-Day.
The public are invited to join representatives from the Legion, the War Memorial Trust, and the Masonic No. 314 at the memorial at 10am on Thursday, June 6.
Due to the timescale there will be no police or road closure.
All wreath layers will be inside the memorial and the public will have to use Bowfield Road surrounding the memorial.
John Lamb has organised a piper and the Legion have agreed to bring the Union standard bearer from Largs branch.
The Rev James McNay from West Kilbride Parish Church will give a short prayer.
