Haylie House Residential Care Home in Largs hosted a special celebration to commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-Day.
The day started off at 10.45am with a church service led by Rev Mark Goodman of the St Columba's Episcopal Church in Largs.
Then at 2pm, there was a musical event, with Largs Dementia Friendly group having contributed to providing live music to all the care homes in the town.
There was also a buffet and photographic history boards conveying the important role that Largs played in the Second World War including the preparation of the D-Day landings through the RATTLE conference held at the Hollywood Hotel.
The Largs Dementia Friendly group provided entertainers to play music from the period and to look back on the seismic events that turned the course of the Second World War towards the Allies.
Beatrice Clark performed at Hutton Park on June 5, Malky Buchan at The Burnlea on June 6, and Scott Dunbar at Haylie House, also on June 6.
Thanks to Charlie Gilmour for the photos from the Haylie House event.
