A FREE night of comedy is set to return to Largs later this month.
The new Largs Comedy Club at The George in Largs got off to a laugh-out-loud start in May with a variety of comedians and some top quality humour to leave the crowd in stitches.
Former West Sound and Q96 radio presenter Steve Goldie, compere for the evening, told the News it was a great success, with the appeal for any locals to step up to the plate also sourcing some Largs talent.
And as with last month's event, a five-minute slot has been set aside at the second instalment giving any aspiring local comedians a chance to put their material, and their delivery, to the test in front of a live audience.
The comedy night returns on Friday, June 21 in a show entitled 'Longest Day Laughs - Midsummer Madness' - at a venue where Billy Connolly, regarded by many in Scotland and beyond as the greatest stand-up of them all, once performed more than 50 years ago.
The event runs from 7.30pm till 9.30pm with new and familiar faces from Edinburgh Fringe and the Glasgow International Comedy Festival.
The line-up on June 21 is set to feature Christopher Mitchell Lay, Keith Fernandes, Stevie Mitchell, Jimi Longmuir, Ifrah Qureshi, Hitesh Rathore, Brian Mooney and Gaynor Lockhead.
