A POPULAR Millport venue is hosting a special music and dance event this weekend.
The 'Rock Around The Croc' rock 'n' roll dance party is being held at the Newton Bar on Saturday, June 22.
Coinciding with the Millport Classic Car Show on the same day, it's a chance to enjoy the sound and the moves of some classic hits from the early days of rock 'n' roll, including Shake, Rattle And Roll by Bill Haley and the Comets and The Everly Brothers' Wake Up Little Suzie.
There will be a chance to learn to jive with some of Scotland's best jive superstars, and to compete in a 'dance-off', with prizes for the best costume and the best jive as well as for the winners of a quiz.
Prizes have been donated by Millport Amusements and the Garrison House Cafe as well as the Newton Bar itself.
The event starts at 8.45pm.
