EMERGENCY services have been called to a report of a crash in Inverkip.
Eye witnesses reported a four-vehicle accident near one of the entrance roads connecting the village to the A78.
An air ambulance was also reported as being at the scene, on Main Street, but no details have yet been revealed on the nature of any injuries.
The road was closed in both directions but one side has since re-opened with police controlling traffic.
The air ambulance helicopter has now left the area.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 8.35am on Wednesday, 19 June, we were called to a report of road crash in Main Street, Inverkip.
"Officers are in attendance and the vehicles are being recovered."
