PLANS have been confirmed for the return of the popular Largs Rubber Duck Race this summer.

Preparations are well underway for the fun family event, being organised by the Largs RNLI fundraising branch to support the town's lifeboat.

Around 1.000 ducks are to be launched off the bridge next to the Morrison's roundabout, where they'll head downstream to the finishing line at the Sir Thomas Macdougall Brisbane Bridge at Mackerston.

This year's event will take place on Saturday, July 13 at 12 noon - and you can 'sponsor' a duck in the big race for just £1.

Tickets, and more information, are available from the RNLI shop at the town's lifeboat station.

You can also buy tickets outside the Vape Shop in Aitken Street on June 29.

Alternatively, you can buy 'last minute' tickets on the bridge on the day of the race.

The event goes back 25 years and has raised cash for a wide range of good causes in the town.
