POLICE have issued a description of two men they want to trace after a robbery close to the centre of Largs.

The victim had his wallet and watch stolen in the incident in School Street at around 11.30pm on Wednesday, June 19.

Police say two unknown men approached two 18-year-old men, assaulting one of them before robbing him of the two items.

The suspects left via Lade Street towards the railway station.

The first suspect is described as white, 6ft tall, and of slim build. He had a beard and was wearing blue trousers and a dark coloured jacket.

The second suspect is described as being white, around 5ft 10in tall and of average build.

He was wearing grey shorts with a black mark on them, and a bright red hooded top with writing across the front.

Detective Constable Daniel Small said: "We are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to please contact us.

"We believe the suspects were in the Main Street area after the robbery. We are asking anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage from the area around the time of the incident to get in touch.
