Rev McWilliams said: "Everyone is encouraged to attend as we give God thanks for the ministry through the years.

"It wasn't the first church building at the site, and the Sunday service will be a service of celebration for all the ministry that has taken place at the church for the past 130 years.

"It will also be a service about looking forward, and the new church of union between Cumbrae, Fairlie and Largs."
