The funeral details have been confirmed for much loved Largs Thistle volunteer Tommy Scouller.

Tommy, who passed away on Saturday, June 22 at the age of 89, had been long associated with the Barrfields club in a wide variety of roles, including selecting the 'man of the match' award winner after each home game.

He received the Archie Dickie Award for voluntary service to the club at the player of the year celebration at the end of the 2023-24 campaign.

There were tributes from clubs across the west of Scotland, too, including one from Ardrossan Winton Rovers, who posted: "Tommy was a wonderful man & always welcoming at Barrfields. Poignant that next weekend, Theesel will commemorate his legendary partner in the crime, Pat Rall in his inaugural memorial tournament."

Gordon Ronney from Kilbirnie Ladeside said: "Sincere condolences from all Kilbirnie Ladeside.

"Tommy was a lovely man, an absolute gentleman. We send our condolences to all his family, his friends and all at Largs Thistle."
