A popular band are set to call time on their performances after 21 years at this Saturday's Largs Live festival. 

Crisis, who play a combination of classic and modern rock, are a regular fixture in the town's bars and pubs. 

The band used to be called Midlife Crisis, but dropped the 'Midlife' moniker from their name a few years ago.

They have now announced that the band will be calling it a day this summer with their farewell gig this weekend.

A spokesperson said: "For a few personal reasons, after 21 years of ‘Live and Loud’ performances, Crisis will be calling it a day this summer after a couple more gigs.

Our final gig will be on Largs Live weekend on Saturday, June 29 in Room, on the stage at the back, at 8pm.

"We may be persuaded to play the odd reunion gig in years to come, for a very special reason, but for now, after the summer gigs we’ll be taking a well-earned rest."

The band did their bit for promoting the town too when they once appeared on tv on STV commercials in 2015 as part of the Explore Largs campaign. See below:
