AN art studio in Cumbrae is set to launch its third exhibition within a year of its opening.
The Hunter Saville Cumbrae Studio and Gallery made its grand opening in August last year with the inaugural exhibition ‘The Cumbrae Six’ showcasing six professional artists from the island.
The gallery is the brainchild of Janice Hunter and Tim Saville, who have travelled, lived and taught all over the world.

They are now set to welcome their third Glasgow School of Art graduate, Garrett Ure, to the island from Sunday, July 7 until Saturday, July 27.
The Glasgow-based contemporary artist and a fine masters student will host 'Infill' as his first solo show which unpacks "the incredible stories and raw materiality which lie within reclaimed timbers, metals and cast mediums."
His exhibition will ask the viewer to explore the extensive process in which an old object is completely reconfigured through exclusively hand-worked means into a new sculptural entity.
The title of the show itself refers to a construction style of woodworking hand plane originating from Ayr in which a wooden handle and a front tote are infilled into a dovetailed steel body.
The gallery recently held an exhibition of landscape work by Ayrshire artist Harry Sutton which was very well received.
His paintings were made during a camping trip to Wee Cumbrae last year.
