Police in Largs are investigating four separate incidents in the space of a month where drivers in town allegedly failed to stop and report a collision.
A motorist was charged in connection with an alleged offence after an incident in the town's seafront car park on May 21.
Police say the second incident happened in Nelson Street on May 31, when a driver failed to stop after causing an accident.
The third and fourth incidents happened on successive days, in Main Street on June 10 and in Moorburn Road, a known area of concern for speeding, on June 11.
Police say their enquiries into all the incidents are continuing.
The incidents were among nine road traffic incidents reported to Largs Community Council's June meeting by Police Scotland.
A driver has been reported to the fiscal on suspicion of careless driving in Greenock Road on May 30, while two motorists were also reported for driving without insurance between mid-May and mid-June.
Sergeant Donald Fisher said: "Speed check patrols around Largs areas have been carried out and will continue to do so.
"Road policing continue to have Largs and the A78 as a whole on their patrol matrix.
"Some of the road traffic related offences are from road policing unit activity in the Largs area."
