FANS of live music have no shortage of performances to choose from as another busy weekend of entertainment approaches in Largs and Millport.

The George in Largs have more new singers live at the George Fever 33 singing tonight from 8.30 till late.

Saturday night sees The George hosting solo artist Ronnie T, who will also be playing from 8.30 till late.

A George spokesperson said: "Another weekend not to be missed!"

On Saturday night, The Newton Bar is going country style for their live music offering.

Come and join in the fun with the amazing duo 'James and Wood' who will be performing from 9pm.

Sharp's Bar in Nelson Street in Largs also has a live act booked up for Saturday night with the popular Rheumatoid Rockers performing live from 8.30pm.

Classical musical fans can enjoy a piano maestro at the Cathedral of the Isles in Millport for this weekend's summer concert which takes place on Sunday afternoon at 3pm.

The performer is none other than the popular Angela Brownridge, who makes her return to the island which will see her perform 'Sonatas and Fantasias', a recital of works by Bach and Beethoven including the latter's Sonata quasi una fantasia Op 27 No.2 (moonlight).

The concert is free and there will be a retiring collection after the concert.

Also on Sunday, Largs 173 Club at the Masonic Lodge is offering free musical entertainment with JJ Stone as part of their Funday Sunday event.
