It is the 'end of an era' at Largs Yacht Haven as its longest serving businesswoman has stood down after 40 years at the helm of the Chandlers business.
Jane Ashdown has been running Largs Chandlers since 1984 and has been praised by Largs Yacht Haven as an 'indomitable force' down the decades.
Not only has she made history by being the longest serving chandler in Scotland, her marine product knowledge has been in high demand.
A Largs Yacht Haven spokesperson said: "Her 40 years of hard work have inspired, encouraged and supported countless berth holders and on-site businesses over her time at Largs Yacht Haven.
"She helped us all with kindness and no matter how busy she was, she had time for everyone.
"Lots of love and congratulations on your very well deserved retirement Jane! "
"Good luck to Chloe and Nic who are taking over the chandlers, hard shoes to fill but we know the great service will continue."
