A motorist was attended to by an ambulance crew after a road accident on the A760 between Largs and Kilbirnie this morning.
The road has since re-opened following the incident which occurred at 8.25am.
Police Scotland confirmed that it was a one vehicle road crash, and an ambulance crew were in attendance, but the motorist did not need to go to hospital.
The accident happened one mile from Largs on the Haylie Brae, which required the road to be shut in both directions for over two hours, but police have confirmed that the A760 has since re-opened for traffic.
