A new Millport Community Shop is opening to help people make ends meet in the cost of living crisis.
The community larder operation is opening within Garrison House, and follows a similar set-up to community shops in Largs and West Kilbride.
Pop along and fill in a membership form - there will be a sign showing you where the food hub facility is based.
The easiest way is via the doctor's surgery car park in the Garrison and enter the gate into the Garrison café courtyard, and it is the first door on the right through the gate.
The project works on a membership basis and allows those who have signed up to top up their weekly food shop with their choice of more affordable items from the range of foods available at the larder.
Membership is only open to people who are living full-time on Cumbrae, so in order to register, the people behind the project are asking that you bring along proof of address when you come to sign up.
The shop will be open on Tuesdays from 10:30am to 1:30pm and on Fridays from 10am until 1pm.
